im on 19 and just check my GPS and its working fine. I did have problems with rc2 though and i went back to sense and fixed GPS and then went back to CM without any problems. Also, Download "GPS Status" from the market and it has a tool to reset the GPS.

When I flashed 19 over 17 the tethering didnt work properly. Had to do a full wipe and fresh install. It's possible you may need to do the same.
 
There seem to be many important apps (GPS, voicemail, and others) where the fix is to reinstall Sense to get the app initialized and working properly and then switch back to CM7. Just researched this a bit today, there are posts all over the forums. Feeling somewhat irritable right now sorry, may try something else that is Sense-based.
 
If you download GPS Status from the market, it has an option to clear gps which is what flashing to a sense rom and using the dialer does. As far as VVM, I just went to Google Voice and I have no issues at all with it. What other apps require flashing a sense rom to fix? I am not familiar with any others that have issues at this time.

I'm on 18 and I've used GPS Status to reset the gps; still doesn't work. What're my options?

Will a nightly eventually fix this? or will I have to go back to Sense and then reflash.
 
There is also an app FasterFix to help AGPS work better. But it won't solve the problem of waiting for first lock or holding a fix. I bought the Evo because it locked so fast compared to Epic (and the earlier Samsung Moment). But neither CM6 nor CM7 work as well as stock.

19 didn't break my GPS; however it did seem to take a bit longer to lock. After reading the posts I decided to take it for a run and not only did it take a bit longer to lock, rerouting to a bit longer too.

I assume all that extra theme take up more room so you have less room for apps? What is your leftover storage after you restored your apps back compared to when you had Cyanogens?

I'd like to try the rom but I have over 100 app installed and right now I'm at 50mb left. Don't wanna go any lower than that.

There are a bunch of choices in the theme changer. Other than that there are a lot of apps that are themed.

I just checked and I have 272mb open and about 40 apps installed.
 
So..... I know we're all about CM7 and gingerbread, but I'm missing some of my sense widgets. I could use LP Pro, but love the simplicity of ADW. I find myself on the fence. Do I find another Rom to flask or stay here? The pro's of this ROM seem to pull me one way, while the Pro's of the better widgets found in a Sense rom pull me another. I use various apps now that allow me to recreate much of the Sense ROMs I seem to be missing; however I feel trapped by a lack of apps to do so.


Am I going crazy...? Anyone out there feeling or felt the same way and found an answer while keeping CM7 on his/her phone... Love to hear what you have to say. Thanks in advance everyone.

What kind of widgets are you missing?
 
Only sense widgets i used was contact widget and agenda widget, agenda works on cm7, contact doesn't but I found an alternative

For one, I really am missing the calaner widget. I know there are a few optinos out there and I'm using Colorize Widgets now, but the calander widget was nice, the freind stream widget that would put all of your friends post in one place.

I miss the dialer. I'm using one Dialer, but it doesn't seem to wanna stay the default not does it import facebook photos. I then tried go contacts and go dialer. It looked better; however too did not import pictures and didn't have the one feature I've grown to love and that is to touch a contact's photo and have multiple options presented for example; call, message, contact, maps / nav or facebook to name a few.

Whats is everyone else doing to complete their experiance with CM7?
 
I am using the default dialer. A couple of my contacts I had to manually link to my facebook friends. Touching the contact pic gives me a few options(call, message, email, fb). I never used friendstream so not sure about that.
 
for I use Dialer one, Quick pic for gallery, I use Android agenda widget for calendar, swiftkey keyboard, dolphin browser, ADW ex launcher, and for a picture contact widget replacement I just use the "custom shortcut" option in ADW to choose direct dial and then add the persons pic, I have about 15 of those on one of my home screens. All that stuff along with the gps, and long texts fix and CM7 floats my boat extremely well.

I just flashed Destroyer rom, and am loving it

Thanks guys... I must have over looked a widget in my repertoire. Timeline is one of 9 widgets that come with colorize (pro edition not yet available) and it coupled with ADW can give sense, let alone Launcher pro a run for its money. In other words, I'm good.... back to the CM7 talks....

You flashed destroyer... I think I will do the same, just nandroided yesterday. Did you wipe everything before flashing the destroyer rom...? I don't intend on flashing data... Anyone against that idea?

So I'm off to download Destroyer... I get to the actual page and there is a poll. It asks how can it be improved... anyone else read the options... Laughed my a$$ off...

Love it so far... will keep for awhile and test its stability.... 0456 hours.... love the boot animaiton... best by far!

Update... black on black text still prevalent after the fix was flashed / applied.. can anyone confirm the fix to work... simply go to your market place and tap the search icon... if when you type the history and results display black on black you know your in my boat too....

nandroided back to build 19... 0909 hours... just couldn't take the black on black... I could change the theme, but honestly the only thing that was cool about the rom was the boot screen.. Anyone know if its available for download?
