Yeah I'm gonna try hulu and see what it's like. Time to get rid of my cable bill!lol I really rooted my phone so I could get wifi on to access xbox live. I work out of town alot and take my xbox with me but cant get on live there lots of times but now I can just get netflix on my 360 so i guess it all works out. I'm still excited about the root and now I may start looking into the roms and kernals, just need to research some more.

Yup I got rid of my cable bill. between netflix, hulu plus, zune, tvshows, xbox etc it wasnt worth the 70 bucks or whatever stupid rate tw was charging me. If i had 4g here I would drop internet too.

Ok so I just uploaded Hulu Plus on my xbox and it says this is available on Android but when I try to play a show from my phone I keep getting a message on my phone that says it is not available on this platform. Is there something I'm doing wrong?
+1 on the 4g..I would get rid of my Dish but hulu and all that doesn't have espn, I don't think and I would guess that espn, espn2, fsmw, espnu take up about 75% of my tv viewing.

I don't think it's technically supported on our device but with the wonders of root we can get around that...do you have the hulu.apk? No it's not in market gotta search the net for that one. Try xda. I would link but I'm at work and on my phone...it may work or we may need to mess with flash or lib files but we can make it work.
Anyone ever heard of someone using hulu on the stock rom? Should be possible...

Ah but the rub is you have to have an isp or cable provider to use it. But you do have an isp. Works with my tw internet only don't have cable as I mentioned.

ok so here is the link for amon ra 2.3 (good choice of recovery
1. just download it and rename the file by deleting "_RA_2.3" in the name of the file. it needs to be named PC36IMG.zip exactly. and remember that windows hides extensions. do not name it PC36IMG.zip.zip.
2. move the file to the root of your sd card( not in any folder)
3.go to hboot( power off then press and hold power+vol down)
4. select yes to update by pressing vol up.
and you now have amon ra 2.3 installed!
so, what exactly is PC36IMG_RA_2.3.zip? bc like candy14510 im having somewhat of the same problem...i've never done this before its my first android phone and i've had the evo pretty much since the first week it came out...anyways when i do power+vol down then go to fastboot then bootloader it just sends me back to the first screen idk whats up with it and my evo too says S-OFF...do i go to reboot bootloader? or am i doing something wrong
That file will put Amon_RA 2.3 recovery on your phone, which is the preferred recovery option. In recovery you can flash different ROMs, themes, mods, etc and make nand backups/restores there. Also wipe your phone, create ext3 partitions, etc.
You need to take out the "_2.3" and put it in the root of your sd card and then do the steps you said. Your file should be named PC36IMG.zip.
My question would be what exactly are you trying to do? I assume get Amon_RA recovery? Or are you after something else. You are obviously rooted since you have S-OFF.
What wouldn't it let you do? I am confused as to what you are trying to do.

well I have S-OFF but its in green instead of red
If it helps im on a mac osx with snow leopard so I didnt install any drivers...

I believe that they made it red in the guide to make it stand out so you knew what you were looking for. Mine is green also in hboot.
