At a minimum, I would wipe Dalvik twice. It might be overkill, but I usually wipe cache also.Oh well...think I am just going to reboot for the first time. Will I need to do any wipes before installing the radio?
OK..FLASHED THE RADIOS
(only the radio pri ect that virus posted up this morning)
Still early in testing but it appears that signal strength is better, 3g and 4g are testing much faster in spots around town that were previously super slow.
will continue tests tomorrow but areas that were .3 mbps or slower are now coming in at 1.5 up AND down
I haven't tried the rom yet..but the radios seem to be an improvement so far for sure
Do you have a link for that radio? I am getting ready to do that next.
So far Gingerbread seems to be A LOT faster!
do you think this new radio will be compatible with cm7 or other roms?OK..FLASHED THE RADIOS

really i have not seen any difference. my cm7 was so much faster. i guess for stock it is pretty smooth.

That is the poster child of the hard way to do things. You'll be flushing your root straight down the toilet, and there is currently no exploit to get it back.
Flashing a ROM sounds intimidating, I know, but once you've done it, it's not that big of a deal. It's really not hard. Just take your time, read the guide all the way through, print it out, and follow the steps one by one. It's easier than rooting. If you successfully rooted your phone, you can flash a ROM.
yeah go into settings/display/ and click off automatic brightness. you can then select how bright you want your screen to be.
yeah that is the weird thing with this update. i have seen some of the leaked ginger sense roms had a power setting where you can select for it not to do a fast boot. but this one there is not. you have to pull the battery out. weird.
as far as i can see yep. and it is not only hboot but also to get to recovery. annoying indeed. might have to go back to cm7 and wait for the awesome devs to cookup some mean OTA roms!!!!
So in the end, did the OTA take? I'm assuming you lost root because it sounds like you don't have a custom recovery any more.
I did the rom. Then the radio. Havent done the kernel but everything seems to be working fine.Did you flash the kernel & radio separately or did you just flash the ROM?
